Tous les deux ans, l’association Relais Desserts récompense l’excellence de ses membres lors de son gala annuel.
Des trophées sont remis pendant cette soirée, et nous avons été retenus pour les créer et réaliser.

C’est un projet conjoint réalisé avec Thibaut Rocher, le designer menuisier du Tiwiki Workshop, lui aussi intallé à Annecy.

Nous avons donc réalisé chaque étape, du premier coup de crayon à la production des 10 trophées, en passant par les dessins 3D et le choix du bois de noyer dans une scierie des Aravis. L’unique partie sous-traitée est la gravure laser des plaques, qui a été effectuée par un spécialiste local.

Chaque phase du projet a bénéficié d’un soin tout particulier afin d’obtenir un résultat à la hauteur du prestige de l’évènement.

Dans notre démarche créative, nous avons souhaité souligner plusieurs aspects de la pâtisserie : précision, empilement, mouvement, alliance de matières et finition impeccable. Le tout dans un objet aux proportions justes, aussi agréable à l’œil que pour la main.

Every two years, the Relais Desserts association rewards the excellence of its members at its annual gala.
Trophies are awarded during this evening, and we were selected to create and produce them.

It is a joint project carried out with Thibaut Rocher, the designer + woodworker of the Tiwiki Workshop, also Annecy based.

We therefore carried out each step, from the first pencil stroke to the production of the 10 units, through the 3D drawings and the choice of walnut wood in a sawmill in Aravis mountains. The only outsourced part is the laser engraved plates, which was carried out by a local specialist.

Each phase of the project has benefited from particular care in order to obtain a result that matches the prestige of the event.

In our creative approach, we wanted to highlight several aspects of pastry: precision, stacking, movement, combination of materials and impeccable finish. All in an object of just the right proportions, as pleasing to the eye as it is to the hand.

Materials: Solid walnut & Polished brass. Finish: Linseed oil based, without VOC.
